For nearly 10 years, we have envisioned and developed this concept.
Along the way, we have met and talked with many people.
Now, it is finally set to launch.
A sustainable urban resort where people gather regardless of the season, harmonizing with local residents and considering the natural environment. It will be a place where various innovative technologies and content come together to enhance the quality of life and stay, along with a diverse range of services that enrich the heart. Policies to protect the abundant nature of Rusutsu Village and collaboration with local government to build a good community are also being advanced.
This time, RRT has gathered individuals who deeply understand the purpose, can communicate in a common language, commit to it, and take practical steps to shape it.
It took two years for the concept to gradually materialize and reach this starting point, but it has finally taken shape and is ready to move forward.
I am convinced that Rusutsu Village in Hokkaido still has great potential.
However, to maximize that potential, the planning and implementation methods for development are crucial, and appropriate rule-making and governance are necessary to achieve sustainable development.
This is a very important part that will serve as the Heart and Bone of the project, requiring coordination with many stakeholders. If we do not firmly establish this foundation and steadily implement it, the vision that spans 10 years could be wasted.
Therefore, RRT will first build this foundation and solidify it.
This is the very essence of RRT’s mission statement, and in future blogs, I would like to share more details about our specific initiatives.
